Maroko And Its Environs To Enjoy The Luxury Of A Floating School

                              
The people of Maroko/iwaya Local Government Area will start Enjoy the luxury and benefit of a "Floating School".

This was made possible with the joint effort of United Nations Development Program and NLE Works Nigeria.

This is coming has a relief barely eight months a demolition order was given by the Lagos state government to destroy hundreds of illegal structures in the area.

The said building will be able to accomodate 100 pupils and the teachers.Sources say the cost of the Floating school is estimated at about N993, 750 ($6, 250), because of its size.

Mr. John Adugbo, a resident of Makoko, said; “We have been waiting for the project that will aid more children to attend school. Presently, many children don’t have access to good educational facilities.”

Adugbo added; “All we have is a school that was constructed to serve as a palliative measure because of our peculiar challenge of being surrounded by water.”
