FRSC Boss Advices Commercial Motorist To Stop Using 'Juju' As A Protection On The Highway

The Command’s Head of Operations, Cecilia Alao of the Ogun State Command of the Federal Road Safety in a workshop has said the commercial motorist in Nigeria should stop relying on 'Juju' as a guard when on the highway.

According to reports, the possession of such supernatural powers and charms would not provide them security and immunity against road crashes.

“Some of you rely on some other powers, and here we have many Alhajis and many pastors. Are we supposed to believe in other powers than that of God? But some rely on other powers and do you know that when accidents occurred, we normally pick those charms one after the other… We’ll find some of the charms strapped on the waist or arms of the victims whenever accidents occur. Some of such charms are even tied to the steering by some drivers. What is the efficacy of such charms? Do those charms work at all?” she said.

Ever noticed commercial drivers with black pencil (its called 'Tiro' in yoruba) obviously painted on the lower eyelid?
