The Bayelsa state government ordered the immediate demolition of one of its buildings located in Lagos State, where suspected terrorists were arrested last week by security agents.

In an interaction with journalists in Yenagoa, the state capital, Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Markson Fefegha, said that government would erect a befitting structure in the area, noting that government wasn’t aware of the existence of such building.

Fefegha said the state government had no knowledge that suspected terrorists were squatting in the building, stressing that it has no intention of sponsoring terrorists as a responsible government.

His words: “No responsible government could accommodate terrorists and miscreants in its building .We have no hand in terrorism.”
In that light, Fefegha said government has deployed a team of engineers to conduct an assessment of the property abandoned by previous administration in the state.
